Books you reffered to

Arihant physics, Arihant chemistry, and NCERTs of all three subjects

Any experience regarding PMT preparation you would like to share. Any advice you would like to give to the PMT aspirants

focussing on NCERT is the most important. People neglect NCERT thinking that there’s not much in it, but trust me, 90 % of the questions in CBSE conducted medical entrance WILL be from NCERT.

What were your Strength and weakness? Why do you think you were able to crack the exam?

I was strong in physics, which helped me a lot, because as far as i have seen medical students have problems with physics the most. So i made this weakness my strength which helped me a lot.

Did you read my books? If yes, did you like them? Would you suggest the same to other students?

No

I am a student from West Bengal. Though I couldn’t clear the AIPMT and WBJEE this year, yet I did well in other all India level exams, after preparing from Rahul Chawla’s books. I cleared cutoff in JIPMER , COMEDK , IPUCET, and a few of the other exams. Since my rank was low in this exams, I couldn’t pursue the MBBS course but I have got admission to AB Shetty dental College in Mangalore on the basis of merit after clearing the Nitte University UGET test. In hindsight, I would like to thank Rahul Chawla and all the other people who have worked so hard to create this website and the two books. It is only because of their dedicated effort towards aspiring medical students that I have been able to get into the BDS course. I would like to say that the two books authored by Rahul Chawla are tailor-made to clear the Biology papers in any PMT exam. Thank You once again and best of luck to all the other medical and dental aspirants , who will be appearing next year .

Books you reffered to

Biology@fingertips, Handbook of Biology, Dinesh Objective Physics, Chemistry and Biology

Any experience regarding PMT preparation you would like to share. Any advice you would like to give to the PMT aspirants

The mnemonics, although few, given in Biology@fingertips are very important. The diagramatic labellings in BHU and JIPMER will come from those given in Rahul Chawla’s books. Study Dinesh Physical Chemistry Objective book and you can sail through 50% of Chemistry. For Physics , Dinesh Objective Physics is tailor-made. And don’t ignore electromagnetism part in Physics, and Genetics portion in Biology. Go easy on Lens and Mirrors in Physics, Organometallic in Chemistry and Root, stem, leaves portion in Botany. Study Flower, fruit, and seeds portion very well. And think positive but don’t be overconfident.

What were your Strength and weakness? Why do you think you were able to crack the exam?

My weakness was Organic Chemistry. In hindsight, I think that if I was not so paranoid in revising the already prepared portions again and again, then I could have made out more time for Organic. My strength was that I prepared extensively from Dinesh Objective Physics and regualrly practiced atleast 15-20 sums from either Physics or Chemistry. This helped me to not be afraid of sums on the day of the exams. I just went with the exams as if it was just another test paper I was solving. I solved lots of test papers that I got from Aakash Institute through correspondence course.

Did you read my books? If yes, did you like them? Would you suggest the same to other students?

Yes, I prepared Biology extensively from Biology@fingertips and Handbook of Biology. I also consulted Dinesh Objective Biology for Reproduction chapters. I would suggest the same to all aspiring medical and dental students. And don’t hesitate to ask any doubts you have on this website. They are always entertained here. Best of Luck. Just believe you can and never ever give up. Study diligently this one year, forgetting all computer games and social networking sites. It will be worth it once you have got admission to a good medical and dental college next year.
