    • It is very difficult to send each one of you these papers individually. Rather you can simply go to cbse.nic.in or any aipmt or neet website. And most of all, it is better to buy arihant previous year books.

This really becomes a tough task. Managing 2 things simultaneously is a hectic, and people tend to give up. If your really helpless, then the only way out left for you is to devote atleast 2-3 hrs EVERYDAY, from the very beginning, and try doing previous year papers and learning concepts.
It’ll be a big burden for you, but if you want to crack the entrances you’ll have to give out your comfort and work extra hours consistently till the end.
Always remember, that there are lakhs of people working hard day and night to achieve their dream and the competition is just unimaginable…
      Best of luck 🙂

Could u plz suggest tips for preparing for JIPMER? Further I would personally request you to release ur books on Physics and Chemistry ASAP. Ur work towards helping MBBS aspirants is indeed laudable. Keep going. ALL the very best.

    • Deepak Dwivedi says:

Trust me, JIPMER entrance is one of the easiest national-wide exam compared to others. In All the four sections-physics, chemistry, botany & zoology, questions asked are very simple and straight forward.
The only tough task is the english section. It is really very tough. People who tend to score good marks in this section can easily crack the entrance exam.
In biology, Fingertips would be really very helpful and many questions clash directly from the book.
Do work on the english section, especially vocabulary and meanings.
And also the cut off for JIPMER is really very high so you will have to score well equally in all the sections.
      Good Luck 🙂

    • Deepak Dwivedi says:

Yea, you are eligible as you fulfil the criteria of 17 years. For Biology, be thorough with your NCERT and also follow Biology @ your fingertips. As far as Inorganic Chemistry is concerned, it is more over memory based than conceptual, as you have loads of things to remember in it. So solve as many questions as possible from any Objective Book (Dinesh or GRB), it would help you a lot. Don’t be in a Dilemma of State PMT or NEET!!! You just focus on your target and keep working hard. And trust me, these “TIME TABLES” never work out, so just follow your daily Schedule and consistently work hard, you’ll surely crack the medical entrances next year!!! Good Luck 🙂

      1. Be ready for the 200% devotion.
      2. start with NCERT biology.Cram it completely..better to understand it first.
      3. For chemistry, read NCERT plus Pradeep…now here you will have to be selective.read only the important things.
      4. For Physics just read Comprehensive..don’t go in details..read only the basics…cram all the formulas and see and in fact learn all the solved examples. I mean memorize and understand how to attempt a question of a particular type. learning formulas are very important.
      5. Solve all BHU, AIPMT, AIIMS and your state pmt past papers. while solving, you will come to know which kind of questions are asked, how to approach the question and what are the important topics. read the solutions given at the back.also simultaneously learn the answrs in case of biology.
      5. Get my book Biology@ Your fingertips..you will not need to study anything else except the NCERTs..even all the important points of the NCERT are covered in my book plus a lot of mnemonics and flowcharts. You can even leave solved papers if you don’t have time because I have covered most of the questions ever asked in the text form. The book would be available in december.
right now handbook of biology is available. you can get my book handbook of biology at flipkart.com.
      6. Start with class 11th syllabus and finish it in 2 months. from january start studying for your boards. It would automatically prepare yourself for the entrances. after the exams, start revising what all you have read.
please read my article STRATEGY OF AIPMT 2012 FOR DROPPERS

      7. keep following the website and also read the doubts of other students as well.
      8. lay special emphasis on NCERT, past papers and my books in biology; and avoid reading multiple books for the same subjects.
      9. and also tell your friends about my book and the website.

A percentage is an absolute term If you received 80% on a test of one hundred questions you had 80 correct questions. A percentile tells you how you have done on a test in comparison to the others who took the test. A percentile of 80 means that you scored better than 79% of those who took the test.

      Read following books
Biology – any textbook ( Trueman) /notes of your coaching institute + NCERT + both of my books (Handbook and Biology @ your fingertips) + Dinesh objective
Till now I have written just two books and I am also working on the text book and an objective book for biology. But this would take time. So, you should buy above books. I also referred to the same books.

Note : this is the ideal combination, which I have prescribed, so if at any stage you are running out of time, you can only rely on my books along with NCERT
Physics – comprehensive / teacher’s notes + A.K Aggarwal objective book or any other book which your teacher has specified.
Chemistry – Pradeep textbook and P.Bahadur for objective + NCERT

also solve more and more past years papers instead of going for worthless test series of big coaching institutes. and lay special emphasis on NCERTs and also both my books.

      I would advice you to refer to my book handbook of biology .It helps you in last minute revision and contains all the important and frequently asked points with 100% strike rate in any medical entrance exam. the book is available in the market. It also contains last minute revision strategy, suggestions and tips for time management in exam..         depends..if you have already solved any MCQ book, then solve year wise past papers and if you have not then solve some of the papers years wise and rest chapterwise; year wise has the advantage that first, it is interesting and second, it is like a test series to assess what all you have studied in two years time;
and HANDBOOK OF BIOLOGY IS FOR LAST MONTHS REVISION but you can use it now coz it has mnemonics and all the very important points; but you need Fingertips also along with it; study from handbook and trueman/ coaching notes till fingertips comes in the market.

There are no such important topics coz questions come from everywhere now. However, AIPMT gives more importance to modern physics and thermodynamics, so lay more emphasis towards it. For organic, just understand the key concepts from a good textbook.( I used to follow Pradeep). But if you don’t have enough time then just read NCERTs. and solve all past years papers; by doing so you will have come to know about the pattern of questions and important name reactions asked in organic chemistry and also have a look at their solutions. You can use your solved papers book to revise chemistry coz now you don’t have time for objective book.

      Prescribed textbook combination

Chemistry – Pradeep textbook and P.Bahadur for objective + NCERT

for NEET lay more stress on NCERTs and otherwise everything else is the same.

yes they are good.besides, You can also refer my book Handbook of Biology. It helps you in last minute revision and contains all the important and frequently asked points with 100% strike rate in any medical entrance exam. the book is available in the market. It also contains last minute revision strategy, suggestions and tips for time management in exam.. The book has 126 pages and its MR prize is Rs.100 . .you can buy the book and also tell your frns about it..in case it is not available in your city, ask the book seller to order it from Galgotia Publications and their phn no. is 09718732278, 0120-4204800.
Secondly, no need of any magazine on current affairs and no need to study current affairs from any other book.
for physics: 1. Dont solve numericals from hi-fi books.
      2. You need a good coaching for physics where you can get some personal attention
      3. You can try Comprehensive physics..it is a bulky book but will clear your concepts..First try its solved numericals your self and then follow the solution if you are unable to make it. No need to burden your self by solving its unsolved Questions. For practicing Objective Questions, get a good MCQ book.
      4. You must try to remember the formula and the correct way of solving question.
      5. Although concepts building is necessary, learning the formulas and applying them correctly should be the priority as usually conceptual Questions are not asked in state PMTs and AIPMT. Most of the question here are simple formula based…but it is a fact that many of the students who solve hi-fi books make mistakes while solving these questions. So, beware of errorrs in solving or calculation.

      1. Avoid marking the wrong option in the OMR sheet due to carelessness. Be very careful so as to mark the same option in the OMR answer sheet that you have selected in the question paper.

      2. Read the questions very carefully with special emphasis on what is asked. Read each option carefully, rule out others and then select the answer.

      3. For physics numericals, substitute the answer back in the formula to be sure that your answer is correct. This prevents calculation errors.

There are more such suggestions given in my book Handbook of Biology. It helps you in last minute revision and contains all the important and frequently asked points with 100% strike rate in any medical entrance exam. the book is available in the market and its prize is Rs.100 . .you can buy the book and also tell your frns about it..in case it is not available in your city, ask the book seller to order it from Galgotia Publications and their phn no. is 09718732278, 0120-4204800, 0120-4235977

It depends upon your way of studying and whether your basic concepts are clear or not . If your concepts are clear and you are smart enough to understand by reading from books directly, then go ahead, study by yourself. After all coaching teachers are no wizards. They cannot wave a moron into a genius! They are only there to teach you, to help clear your concepts; if you can grasp the topic yourself then its sufficient.

However if you are one of those who cannot grasp the concept by directly reading from the book, and are dependent upon teachers, then you can join any coaching institute and attend the classes regularly. Don’t hesitate to ask questions and clear your doubts with the teachers. But please never blindly follow what all they say, the teachers (mostly; however exceptions are there) can teach you but they cannot guide you on how to excel in exam.

But still, I would suggest that it is better to join some local coaching to help you clear your doubts and provide you with basic concepts of the subjects. A little guidance is very essential to prevent you from unnecessarily wasting time reading unimportant facts.
