Ask your doubts

Hi guys, till now we people have solved thousands of queries on our blog, taking out our valuable time. I had designed this website with hope that this initiative would help and guide students.

But you people need to realize the fact that we cannot spoon feed you every time. We cannot read long stories. We can not answer the same query over and over again. We do have other things to do.

There is flooding of doubts and it’s difficult to identify genuine  queries among them and so the ppl who really have a doubt suffer.

Hence, before posting any doubt please read all the past queries. By doing so, we’ll get less number of questions to answer and hence would be easier for us.

So, please don’t ask questions like how to study and what books to refer and all…these topics have been dealt with in our blog-posts. Please do read them.

Read all past posts and comments before posting any doubt.

Before posting any doubt please read all the past queries and our blog-posts. Queries to which we have replied before won’t be answered. And keep your queries short, specific and to the point. In case it’s very URGENT ,  mail your query at or message me on my facebook profile

{P.S. I’ll handle only very urgent queries. So please don’t spam my mail and message box}

    • Deepak Dwivedi says:

It’s your call brother. If you think you are doing well with self study and can manage by your own then go ahead with it, or else if you feel that your not able to cope up with your studies all alone then surely go and join an institute.

  88. Ankita says:

what % of questions are repeated in aipmt from past years?? is the pattern of question paper always same in aipmt like just certain concepts are asked from a particular chapter every year?? if yes then can i jst prepare those concepts only specially in phy as i am running out of tym n a lot is to b done yet. plz rrply fast.

    • Deepak Dwivedi says:

% of questions cannot be predicted, sometimes it is more sometimes less and sometimes nothing at all. But yes the pattern remains almost the same. So at this point of time, all you got to do is do previous years question papers.

  89. Atul says:

Sir , is it necessary to attempt every questions in aipmt or bcece even if i am qualifying by answering only biology and chemistry??????? can i not leave physics questions fully???? i belong to sc category.

    • Deepak Dwivedi says:

That’s left upto you. There’s no compulsion as such. If your confident enough of scoring a good rank just by attempting bio and chemistry, then go ahead with it. But this would be illogical, as even an average student can score 20-30% of marks in physics with an ease if he just knows the formulas for certain questions.

  101. Indranath Roy says:

    Is “Biology@fingertips” enough for aipmt?
    sir plzz reply fast

    • Deepak Dwivedi says:

Fingertips is not the standard book for cracking entrances. It’s a compilation of notes, mcq’s, factual points meant for quick revision, lessening the burden of study and scoring more marks.
You will definitely score very good marks if you read fingertips with some other book like ncert.

  102. santhosh says:

sir,it is my 3rd dropout i am studying from aakash books and their notes. are they enoygh to crack aipmt 2016 .if they are not enough plz suggest some books .right now i am studying at home

    • Deepak Dwivedi says:

      Seriously is that your question?
Aakash material in itself is so vast, which people fail to study thoroughly. And you are asking for more books apart from them.
Come on Buddy, wake up! And finish aakash material fully and then ask this question, because if you complete their material thoroughly then you would be so confident that such question wouldn’t arise in your mind.
Hope you don’t feel offended and understand my point.

I am from Odisha and wanted to study mbbs in UP college. But I dont have the domicile. Will I be able to appear UPCPMT or Should I drop the idea of getting mbbs college in UP?

    • Deepak Dwivedi says:

If you do not have domicile then you cannot appear for upcpmt. But your desire to study in UP can be fulfilled by clearing AIPMT.

Am i eligible to appear for aimpmt2016?

  117. Shaleen says:

after giving aipmt this year, i realized that solving previous papers were not of much help in physics, i scored 450 in aipmt, i scored very less in physics, which book should i use for studying physics ? should i solve H C Verma or Aakash study material with aipmt question bank ? i noticed some questions from aakash study material were asked in aipmt

    • Deepak Dwivedi says:

There is no definite pattern of the exam and neither can anyone predict what questions will be asked in the exam.
We recommend you to solve previous year papers so that you get an idea about the paper and also many a times questions are repeated. But that doesn’t mean that the questions have to be repeated, may be it didn’t help you much but if you look at the last 20 years statistics then you’ll understand what do we actually mean.

  118. Aakash says:

Im studying in class 12 Medical nd want to crack aipmt this year i.e 2016 bt I don t have any knowledge abt my class 11pls suggest what to do

Sir m from up..and belong to sc quota..I wanna know how much do I need in aipmt and cpmt dat can secure me a MBBS seat in kgmc and bhu..plzzz tel for both separately…I ll b grateful to u..

    • Deepak Dwivedi says:

The cut off is never constant, it varies every year.
Still if your so much concerned then just score above 550 and your on the safer side.

  120. Harjot singh says:

I’m currently in +2. I just want to ask that what all I have to do to get 660 marks in aipmt? I usually get about 450 marks in regular mock tests. What should I do to enchance the marks .

    • Rahul Chawla says:

Study. Revise. See what goes wrong. Why aren’t u able to get the answers right? Analyse. Assess. Rectify the mistakes. Have already uploaded a video taking similar query. Better watch that.

  121. Varun says:

I had alloted a seat in ts eamcet 2015 in tkr college and i had tooknown online admission. But I didn’t go to college since then and I had not even submitted my certificates. Will anything happens? I took long term for it and tensed about the previous thing.please help me.

  122. Sunil Singh says:

sir,I wanted to ask whether studying from NCERT and Aakash module will be sufficient for JIPMER

  123. Sir im a dropper ive already started studying for aipmt and aiims 2016. My speed is slow and hardly ive completed 4 chapters per subjects till date..i only want is the correct time table.please suggest me that when my syllabus should get completed for 11th and then 12th. And mcqs and previous year..i really want a swat next year sir plz suggest me a time table something so that my pace also remains good and i can also complete each and everything on time and at last my cncepts are crystal clear…

    • Okay. First things first. Its time for you to get started in full swing. Practice as many previous years as possible. Make concepts, but at a faster pace. And, if you have any separate doubts, you can ask them to me separately.

  124. Harjot singh says:

I’m currently in +2.I Just wanted to ask that what is the true mantra to get 650 marks in aipmt? I usually get 450 marks in mock tests of 720marks. What all should I do to get 650 marks?

    • Mock tests? I’m answering this thinking that you are talking about the tests in aakash. You are doing just fine. You’ll score good in aipmt as usually the mock tests we used to have were quite difficult. To the contrary if you are talking about practicing previous years, then you need to work hard. Solve as many questions as you can and get your concepts correct. The easy way to score good! 😀

  125. satyam joshi says:

I m in class 10. if i choose biology in 11-12 and i gave aipmt exam and try my best and give 100% to pass the exam and i can’t achieve good marks soo what to do after that………
    i am a cbse student
    plzzz cmmment fasterrrr…………

    • Deepak Dwivedi says:

You can do anything other than medicine, like engineering etc.

      • shubh says:

Sir m from up nd I belong to sc quota and m very much tensed…so plzz much do I need in aipmt get mamc..ucmss and also kgmc and bhu..thru aipmt and cpmt…plz tel separately for all..thankyu

      • First of all, its ucms and not ucmss. Secondly, the cutoff changes every year For example in 2013, even 250 marks were sufficient to fetch you a seat under delhi quota for ucms. So work hard and practice instead of focusing on how much to obtain.

  126. Sunil Singh says:

Sir, I have given my 12 boards this year and secured 90% marks but in AIPMT I got 50,000 rank. I`ve done 2 years foundation course from Aakash. This year I`ve dropped and doing self study. I`m preparing for AIPMT, CPMT and JIPMER. I`m bit confused for JIPMER, as I`m not getting clear with syllabus of JIPMER that from where to prepare for English, logical reasoning and which books to refer for JIPMER. Is NCERT and Aakash module sufficient for it. Plz help I`m also not getting previous years solved papers of JIPMER, can u plz provide it. My email id is

    • Deepak Dwivedi says:

JIPMER entrance questions are very straight forward and easy ones, including physics. This is why the cut off stands 170-175+. But the deciding factor is the english section. The questions are really hard and is not basic english. So if you are aspiring for JIPMER, then you’ll have to really work hard in English section equally as compared to other subjects.

my query is that whether a student of bds first year can give a exam of aipmt 2016 and take a seat of mbbs ug after qualifying aipmt.

  135. Noamika vasishit says:

I passed my 12 exam in 2013 and got 90% marks. I didn’t take any coaching in 11 ir 12 and thought i could crack aipmt if i drop for one year but i only got 402 marks in my attempt in 2014. So i took homeopathy in nehru homeopathic college delhi, with this course I wasn’t content so i prepared side by side for aipmt and again got only 482 marks which weren’t enough for getting into mbbs but i got admission in esi dental college delhi and with bds course too in m not content, I am thinking of preparaing again. Is it a right decision to prepare again for aipmt ? I am very confused.

    • Rahul Chawla says:

If you feel that you really want to be a doctor and you are ready to study, then go ahead. Chase your dreams. But give your 100%. I have covered this question in a video lecture series, going to be released shortly on you tube.

I feel disheartened when I can’t manage my time well though I m shtrying hard
    Plz suggest me someting

    • Deepak Dwivedi says:

Try getting a good grasp over co-related topics of physics and chemistry like modern physics and atomic structure in chemistry. As these topics are co related and will be beneficial from both the subjects point of view. And moreover, these topics are given more weightage in entrances too.
And on the other side you can keep reading few basics of physics and build up your concepts and try finishing off inorganic chemistry by doing various mscqs simultaneously. Hope it helps you.

  137. Anchal baliyan says:

Sir,up government supreme court ka order KB follow karegi aipmt ki vacant seat k liye . kyonki up m 174 seat vacant h ya up government supreme court ko kuchh samajhti nahi h ,hariyana government ne to aipmt ki vacant seat allote kar di jabki wahan to 35 seat the.
    Please help me sir ,now

  138. Samira says:

Please please please reply. I’m feeling very suicidal. I’ve taken a drop, and I haven’t started studying till now. If I study from today onwards will I be able to get a good mbbs college?

    • Rahul Chawla says:

No need to get depressed. Start studying right now. You have to work hard. Forget thinking about the result. Keep doing your job. Remember Gita’s philosophy. Even if you don’t succeed, its not going to be an end to your life. There are other fields as well. You start studying with full dedication. Read past posts. Get my books. Don’t think about the end result.

      • prathyusha says:

i am not able to reduce my negative marking .what should i do. loosing hope gradually. as i am a repeater . but only one thing i know is that i have to make it into a mbbs collage. i dont know what to do .feeling stressed.and loosing confidance

      • Rahul Chawla says:

Negative marking clearly implies that you don’t have a strong command over that particular topic. You must have read it, but you don’t remember exactly what’s being asked….and so you get confused between 2 similar options…only solution is thorough reading, revising multiple times and solving past papers.

  139. namita says:

I am thirty five years old. and I am doing a job as a staff nurse in civil hospital wardha. I want to become a Dr. can I give the pmt exam now

    • Rahul Chawla says:

You may..but keeping in mind that you already have a good career, preparing, then doing MBBS for 5.5 years, then residency for three years…then SR ship for other three years…it will take a great toll…Medical is no more a glorious profession these days…I really don’t think it will serve a purpose…u will do great in your field.

      • Hitesh Goel says:

        Rahul Chawla SIRRRRRRR…………..
I think you forgot to read the prospectus at the time of your admission where MCI clearly states that upper limit of age for giving AIPMT or any other exam is 25 years or at max 30 years for reserved category students.

      • Rahul Chawla says:

Okay…that’s 35. I read it 25. Anyway, thanks for pointing out.

Should i study abroad as i have their offer letter in bio-technolgy OR drop a year? please help.

    • Rahul Chawla says:

Completely your call…depends how u want to see yourself 5-6 years hence…if you are pretty sure about becoming a doctor and can give yourself another chance, then go for a drop..otherwise do what else you want to do…but you got to put in more efforts this time. Be prepared.

Is there any reservation for wards of defence personnel in any of the PMTs that you recommend for me.

    With Regards.

    • Rahul Chawla says:

There’s reservation in IPU. Besides in some other state entrances as well. U are eligible for UPCPMT and other state entrances if You have got the domicile of that particular state.

I did self study without going to any coaching institute. I studied my best with the help of many books & did model papers but i couldn’t able to crack AIPMT n AIIMS this year. Actually AIIMS is my dream college & to achieve MBBS is my aim. I cannot even think about any other course other than this. Now i’m planning to drop 1 more year to achieve MBBS. And also suggest some books which will be more helpful to crack these entrance exams??? I’m So Confused. Please help me out sir.

In that case, if you have the money, then pay or otherwise forget MBBS. Complete your B.Pharma. Study hard. Crack CAT. Do MBA. You’ll be earning far more than a doctor. Every failure is an opportunity…a success-in-waiting.

  171. Abdul Samd says:

Thank you Mr. Dwivedi for your quick response in relation to Maths for 11 & 12, If I understand you correctly upto 10th STD Maths is OK, but if he could do 11 & 12 STDs would be VERY good for further study of MBBS. is that what you mean to answer. May God bless you All !!!!!

    • Deepak Dwivedi says:

It’s not required for MBBS, It’s important only till clearing the entrances.. Once your into MBBS, no more of maths required.

  172. Deepayan Biswas says:

I don’t want to do WBJEEM, but i want to do AIIMS entrance exam, it’s possible

  173. Abdul Samd says:

    Dear Sir,
My son is in 9th STD CBSE he finds difficulty studying Maths, my question is does he needs to study maths (11 and 12 std) to peruse MBBS , in terms of physics and chemistry solving problems. Please advice.

    • Deepak Dwivedi says:

Yes maths proves to be quite helpful when it comes to certain numericals in physics which involve solving by integration method, so a basic knowledge of maths would be required for that. But the scope of maths is very less and is limited only to physics, hardly 2-5%(max) questions might be involved which would require the knowledge of maths to solve it. Rest everything is fine.

    • Rahul Chawla says:

Just brush up your knowledge. Solve past papers. Identify your mistakes and Analyse where things went wrong this year. No need to go for online courses. Majority are fake/bullshit/crap. You have the potential. Read standard books. Revise, not once or twice, but hundred times. Just that. Nothing else. Read my past blog posts.

  181. DIPANJAN says:

Sir, i have actually been selected in wbjee medical. The college is 6 years old and 1 batch has passed.. Results are good.. But the hozpital has lesser patient turnover and comparatively lesser doctors.. Than older colleges.. Infrastructure is good really and it is a govt. College. I have an option to upgrade to bankura medical college which is one of the oldest in wb. Academicz is of course good but the buildings and hostels are not at all good. It is a little far from my home.. Patient turnover is abnormally high and it is an experienced college with strong alumni. Practicals and studies are good but buildings are old and no recreational facilities as such.. It is a little away from bankura town.. Which college should i choose sir?? The first college has excellent hostels and also near to my home..

    • Deepak Dwivedi says:

If you have got a good medical rank then you can just cancel your admission from that college and take a No Objection Certificate (NOC) And join other college.

Sir, i just want u to clear my problem urgently. I have cleared my intermediate exam by UP board from PCM in 2015 . I want to appear for AIPMTexam so this year i have again filled up the form of biology singly from same college nd same board. In this way i will get a marksheet of biology as a single sybject in 1016. So plz tell me that will i be able to appear for aipmt and can do come in medical feild. Will there be no problem with above procedure? Plz answer me urgently sir

    • Deepak Dwivedi says:

If you have a marks card stating you have aggregate of 60% in PCB then you are eligible for entrance exams and there won’t be any problems further.

  202. sir,i got coaching from aakash institute for 1 year for aipmt entrance exam. sir,I want to do self study for aipmt 2016 .I have aakash material and NCERT books .is this study material is enough to crack entrance exam and get admission in govt.medical collage .sir, what should I study to improve my physics problems of solving numerical .sir i am aligible for entrance exam as i got 70% marks in board exam.

    • Deepak Dwivedi says:

Well aakash material is very good for biology and chemistry (esp inorganic) but please do not use it for physics, as they have made it very vast and it is beyond the scope of medical entrances. So my suggestion would be refer some other book for physics which is more over medical oriented unlike engg exams Oriented like h.c.verma etc. And as you’ve mentioned that your weak in physics, so just try building up your concepts and have a grip over it because solving hifi numericals makes no sense without understanding the concepts.
So please just stick to the basics and solve as many as mcqs possible because in the end ultimately only this will help you as the questions asked in physics section is relatively easier and direct formula based.
And remember physics is also equally important as that of biology and chemistry, so do not neglect it.
      Good luck!

  203. Nikita says:

I couldn’t qualify the entrance exams for MBBS and so getting into an Ayurveda course now. But there is nothing I want to be other than a doc, and I’ll take the entrance exams again next year. I already have the study material from Aakash and I’m planning to get enrolled for an e-dlp course for further assistance. Could you please help me decide between Aakash itutor and AllenTab? Does AllenTab have lecture videos like Aakash itutor? Also, I already had to drop 3 years because of health constraints and other personal reasons, will this have a negative impact on me in future?
PS. You guys are doing really good work:)

    • Deepak Dwivedi says:

When you already have aakash material then obviously itutor should be preferred for your convenience.
And don’t worry there won’t be any negative impact due to your previous drops.

  204. manas das says:

    dlp program from resonance .
    Is it a right decision?
Which coaching institute’s dlp material is good for aipmt except Allen?
Does the study materials of a coaching center remains same for next year ?

    • Deepak Dwivedi says:

Well not a good idea. And neither can you compare two study packages as they are good in their own ways. And yes the study materials remains 90-95% same with some minute alterations.

    • maryam says:

I am doing allen nuture online test series and scoring 415 to 450 out of 720 in the mock tests . • Rahul Chawla says:

Don’t judge your future performance with these scores. Be consistent in studies. Solve previous papers for better analysis once you have completed a considerable chunk of your course. Rest, see previous posts and advice given in biology at your fingertips.

  213. Khushboo says:

Sir,I am getting 548 marks in retest of aipmt.can I get mbbs in gov. college?can i get ims bhu?

    • Deepak Dwivedi says:

Please attend all the rounds of counseling because every year cut off varies and prediction becomes tougher.
Once the rank is out we’ll get a much clear idea and then the prediction becomes little easier. So please wait till then.
      Good luck 🙂

  214. Sonica Prasad says:

    Hello sir,
I m currently pursuing engineering .I have given medical exam 2 times but still cant crack it just bcoz of silly mistakes and guessing answers and now parents also have lost faith in me.Sir i really want to become a doc , i have just taken engg for my parents happiness.Sir i just want to ask that will i be able to crack it and get into med field if done properly? Plz reply asap sir i need ur guidance.

    • Deepak Dwivedi says:

Yes it is possible. But you really need to get yourself oriented only for it and work hard towards it. Pursuing some other course and then giving medical entrances is purely based on luck.

  215. pallavi says:

    dear ,sir
wat sud be stretagy of a dropper in completing the much early as possible.
& wat special must a dropper student do than a regular student.

    • Deepak Dwivedi says:

Friends please thoroughly go through the website, all the answers for your questions regarding syllabus, books, strategy planning etc is already posted on the website. Because it really becomes difficult for us to post the same thing over and over again.
So friends it’s a humble request from our side that before posting any query please thoroughly go through the website and if you still don’t get a way through out then post your queries and we will revert back to you at the earliest.
      Thank you 🙂

  216. Chetna says:

If I am doing my MBBS or BDS from private medical college am I eligible to sit for AIPMT

    • Deepak Dwivedi says:

Yes you can, but you won’t be able to select the same course again if you get a good rank.
Ex: if you are doing MBBS you will be able to only choose BDS, you won’t be able to choose MBBS seat once again and vice versa

  217. Saira says:

Sir I want to talk to any one of you.. I really need your guidance.. I assure you I will not take your much time…plz give me your contact no…plz sir…I am waiting for ur reply..

  218. Ahaana says:

Actually i wanted to clear my doubt. My CBSE boards registration have general category in it but I belong to SC category. So does it affect anywhere in my PMT exam which i am going to give in 2016. Like a hurdle? I mean which caste are they going to consider? Please make it convenient to reply.

    • Deepak Dwivedi says:

If you do not show any of your caste certificates then you straightaway belong to GM category. And according to your previous report cards if you belong to GM category and now want to change it to SC category, it might be a little problematic but it’s possible.

      • Ahaana says:

So it means if I show all my Caste certificate and stuff. They would consider me in SC category? Thank you very much for the above reply but do reply to this too.

      • Deepak Dwivedi says:

Yes you can. But it’s a hectic procedure, just do it before hand and keep all these things ready.

      • Ahaana says:

What is the minimum score for an SC holder to get admission in a govt. college? Like how much do i need to score to be on a safer side and get admission in a govt. college?

      • Deepak Dwivedi says:

Min 400 marks and your on the safer side.

  219. deepak says:

Dear sir,I got admission in vmmc (by ipu cet) and on the basis of expected marks in re aipmt i have chances in mamc too.should i prefer vmmc or mamc, please reply.

    • Deepak Dwivedi says:

That has to be purely your choice. Because both the colleges are extremely good in their own way.
So keeping in mind about your convenience, hostel facilities etc, you have to make a right decision for yourself.

  220. Kshitij says:

    hello sir,

  222. snehaa says:

Sir I will get around 315+in Aipmt retest can I get a good government college. Category is ST

    • Deepak Dwivedi says:

Just ignore such vague talks and only focus towards your goal. Remember that all the medical students are not from aakash, so never let such thoughts haunt your mind.

  227. Shubham says:

Can I take Second drop for aipmt or take admission in bsc. I don’t want to waste this year

    • Deepak Dwivedi says:

Firstly, if a person is dropping a year it’s not called wasting, it’s called utilizing. Now you decide what you want to do.

  228. Vanshita vij says:

I appeared for aipmt dis year but could not score well n i am now looking for pdm college for bds or dav college ludhiana for bpt.
    which one is better??
Or what should i do m totally confused.

    • Deepak Dwivedi says:

Do not get confused. Firstly get to know better about both the courses as they are totally different from each other. Google about them, you’ll get to know every aspect of it and that would help you in simplifying your confusion.

  229. Anita says:

Sir i gave pmt along with 12th and could not clear it than took a drop but due to depression issue i left it in middle than i am joining bds in private college so can i still give AIPMT along with bds first year sir Please reply it’s urgent

  230. amit anand says:

Sir is this good option to do mbbs in forien countries like ukrane, russia, china if I dont able to crack entrance exams in india it is my fist time attempt I am expecting 400 marks in aipmt retest is these are good marks to go for drop this year or I should choose first one

    • Deepak Dwivedi says:

We can guide you regarding clearing your medical entrances of India instead of abroad studies.
First you get clarified as of where you want to pursue your course and then we’ll help you in that because even we have very minimal knowledge about mbbs in russia, Ukraine, China etc and its all based on the fact which we have heard from others.

  231. Aastha Gupta says:

Sir my score in aipmt retest 2015 is 346 and according to rank predictor my AIT rank will b 21000 in ur category and I belong to mp so can I get any govt collage ?

  234. Nabeel says:

I have a seat confirmed in Manipal. If i join there and next year if I qualify for aipmt can I continue 2nd year in other government college.

  235. Samira says:

Hi! I’ve just appeared for my mbbs entrance exams, but couldn’t score well and get a good college since it was my first attempt. I wanted to know if it’s better to join a coaching like aakash or have tutors with self study and have some test series like Allen? In my opinion Aakash may not give me the time required for self study and I may lag behind if I’m not in par with their course. Please revert soon 🙂 Thanks!

    • Deepak Dwivedi says:

If it is 123/300, then you are not eligible to give. As eligibility criteria is 50% aggregate in pcb group.

      • Radhika Bhoyar says:

Sir I got 123 in pcb group and I m not eligible for the aipmt and mht cet then what I should do next.. I really want to do mbbs plz sir suggest me.. Sir I really need help..

      • Deepak Dwivedi says:

Get a marks card which shows 60% aggregate in pcb group. You can either do it by correspondence or by giving re-exam.

  238. arnab says:

what is intership salary in delhi?

  239. Prince Jaiswal says:

    • Deepak Dwivedi says:

Yes, there will be a problem during counseling as they won’t allot you seat under that category.

      • Prince Jaiswal says:

Sir so will they allot me seat unnder general category in next counselling or will they terminate me ?

      • Deepak Dwivedi says:

Most probably they might allot you, but just to avoid certain complications try to get your documents ready so that your on a safer side.

  240. Riya says:

    Dear sir,

I have passed class 12 in 2014 i gave 1yr drop fr medical bt for medical issuses my exam did not went good .i have decided to give another yr drop means i will give medical entrance exams in 2016 ..does this 2year gap will effect my medical career during getting any job in medical college as a doctor. ???? Plz help sir…kindly reply urgently

  241. megha says:

sir iam a 2 year dropper and still unable to crack aipmt . my parents forcing me to get admission in ip bsc hons.nursing programe but i wanted to mbbs only so sir please suggest me what i do . can i do aipmt preparation sidewise?

    • Deepak Dwivedi says:

Sometimes people drop for an year or two in a well oriented manner, with or with going for coaching, work hard for the entire year and still they fail to clear the exams.
In this case, your the best example for yourself, as you haven’t been able to clear even after dropping for two years.
When it was tough for you to clear it after properly dropping for two years, do you think that side by side preparation will be helpful in cracking the entrances next year?
I’m not intending to demoralize you instead just trying to show you the other face of reality.
Think about it and make a bold decision.
      Good luck.

  242. simran verma says:

sir I got 67,69,65 marks in chemistry ,bio, physics ,sir my total % is 70% ,how many no. I need in medical entrance exam to get admission in govt. collages

    • Deepak Dwivedi says:

If you score roughly anywhere above 70% marks in entrances you have a fair chance of getting a medical seat.

  243. simran verma says:

sir I got 70% in board exam ,how much no. I need to get seat in govt. collage

    • Deepak Dwivedi says:

Board exam marks are not considered, you are eligible for the entrance exams. So just write and clear the entrance exams and get a govt seat for yourself.

  244. Jayati says:

I will be giving aipmt re-exam this year but I am not confident enough to get a good medical college since I had not taken any coaching rather I did self study even for my 12th exam. I wanted to know that if I don’t score that much then will I be able to get a private medical college which accepts aipmt score? I am ready to take a drop but then too I wanted to know whether is is possible to get admission in mbbs private college that accepts aipmt score?

    • Deepak Dwivedi says:

If you want to get into any private medical college without cracking any entrance, it is possible only through Management Quota. And for admission through this quota you need not show any entrance score, only your 12th marks card will do it.
If you do not get seat through any entrance, the marks or ranking of that particular exam is of no value.

  245. Radhika Bhoyar says:

Sir please tell me I m eligible for aipmt mht cet i got 55. 85%in 12th in this year and 123 in pcb group I just want to do mbbs..

  246. renu says:

Sir , i got 82 in 12 cbse wihout math……my parents re ready to get seat in private college…….My question is am i capable of doing mbbs as it is one of the toughest course ……juz pass da course

    • Deepak Dwivedi says:

Doing a course without any interest is never appreciated and so wouldn’t we advice. As far as passing is concerned, if you study hard you can definitely pass but practicals might be troublesome for you.

  247. angel says:

hello sir i want to know that is it compulsory to clear all part (chem, physics, zoology and botony) indivisualy in aipmt entrance exam. please answer soon! and my other question- i have done msc still i want to do mbbs! am i eligible for it?

    • Deepak Dwivedi says:

It’s not about clearing each section it’s about scoring high and good marks aggregately in the all the three.
And yes, you are eligible for writing entrances.

      • nik (angel) says:

thnx for ur rply. i was feeling hesitation to ask about pmt question. now i am of 25. i know its too late. is it fn to do mbbs at this stage. i am totally confused. please suggest me. It was my dream or first choice but due to my mistake or some circumstances i didnot crck pmt. pleas rply soon.

      • Deepak Dwivedi says:

It’s never too late when it comes to your dreams. We are just here to guide you, not to decide your career. So listen to what your heart says and go ahead with it.

      • nik (angel) says:

Its realy helpful. It was not about to decide career but just to know m doing right or wrong if thinking of mbbs at this stage. Mr. Deepak thank u so much for giving ur precious time to solve my doubt.

      • Deepak Dwivedi says:

        Your welcome 🙂

  248. k Arun says:

my daughter is studying in 12th medical stream she want to read mbbs what is the procedure to give the test every state and ut

    • Deepak Dwivedi says:

After completion of 12th, she will have to apply for various entrance exams. She cannot write all the state pmt’s instead she is eligible to write the pmt of the state where she is studying from past years and/or the state for which holds domicile(permanent residence).
Besides this, she can apply for almost all the other national entrance exams like AIPMT, AIIMS, AFMC, JIPMER, COMEDK, BHU, etc.

  249. shea says:

I scored 95% in cbse this yyear but I couldn’t prepare well for the entrance exam since I was living in a remote area and could not get proper tuition .I was not able to do well in upcpmt this I decided to take a drop and give it another shot .I have joined akash in chennai now and started my preparation again.I m following ncert books and akash package now along with dinesh objective books.
Can you suggest me some other good books which help me to crack aiims
Plz suggest me some book for physics for practice
    Either GRB or USS

    • Deepak Dwivedi says:

I do agree that books do matter in having a fine preparation but firstly i would emphasis you to make your basics and concepts strong. Once you have a command over your basics and concept well versed you can solve any type of question especially in physics and chemistry.
Once you feel that you have attained this, then you can go for multiple mcq’s, various mock tests, etc.
The books which you are following are more than sufficient, if AIIMS is your target then you’ll have to practice a lot of Assertion and Reasoning questions, which you can do it from MTG or GRB.
Also for physics you can go with USS, but if you face any difficulty or if your not able to cope up with it try switching to some other book which you find it easier.
And talking about the books, we may recommend you certain book, but you might not be comfortable with it, so it’s better that before purchasing try to go through a book, either from your friends or store, have a look at it’s synopsis, mcq’s and their explanations. If you feel that it’s given in a very good and easy understanding manner then you can easily go for it, rather than relying on us and blindly following our recommendations because every book is good in its own way, you just have to choose the one which suits you the best.

  250. gaurav says:

Sir if aftr mbbs I dont want to study further n want to strt earning dn what z d scope fr dat… in case we r unable to do PG… Do “only mbbs” doctors also get good job and pay in hospitals etc? Pls tel me want to b confirm about my future

    • Deepak Dwivedi says:

Yes you can, either by working in PHC’s(primary health centres) or even by private practice or by working as a teaching staff in medical colleges/hospitals, you can have a decent earning. But, PG anyday has more value and earning.

  251. sagir shaikh says:

sir I gave mh cet 2015 this year and got 170/200 rank 2046 open category I HV dropped 1 year BT still fell short of MBBS seat by 2-3 marks margin I’m getting govt BDS but I’m not repeating one more year a solution to MBBS

    • Deepak Dwivedi says:

If your really keen and interested to pursue MBBS then dropping is the only solution left for you.

  252. Rohit Kuma says:

Sir plz help me its very urgent…sir I have passed 10th class in 2010.Then I met an accident due to which I took admission in class 12th in 2012 and passed it in 2014.So I want to know that since there is 2 years gap between my 10th & 12th.So Am I eligible for AIPMT AND OTHER MEDICAL EXAMS.As I am sure that I will get 500+ marks in re exam of aipmt. So,SIR PLZ HELLP ME..

    • Deepak Dwivedi says:

Govt jobs for BDS are available, but have no much idea about its pay scale. But in the future, private practice will be of very beneficial for you and you might have a good earning too.
Choose a good college through COMEDK like Ramaiah or Kempegowda or even Vydehi for that matter.

  254. Aarav Sharma says:

Sir its quite urgent pls help me!!!!

    • Deepak Dwivedi says:

Certain percentage of attendance is mandatory in every university. So i fear if you try doing something of this sort then you might land up being in trouble.

  255. Vinit says:

Got air1397 and 283(obc) rank in aiims. What are chances of selection?
Also got 24th rank in cgpmt and 4th(obc) rank in cg pmt. Can get any of aiims or should go with state medical college?

    • Deepak Dwivedi says:

You would get the best medical college in your state through cgpmt, so why to leave that and go to the newer AIIMS?
And also you have very less chances of getting any of the AIIMS.

  256. popww says:

Hello Bhaiya, I am preparing for Jharkhand PMT and Manipal-UGET 2016 and I am going to study from the following books…..Please tell me if I should carry on or should I make any alterations?.
Physics- Arihant Objective Physics for Medical Entrance Exams Vol 1+ Vol 2 (both theory+questions)

Chemistry- NCERT 11+ NCERT 12 for theory and concepts and questions from Allen’s Questions Module

Biology- NCERT 11+ NCERT 12+ Biology @ your fingertips…..and questions from Allen Question Module.

    Thank you

    • Rahul Chawla says:

Rather than using Allen’s modules, get past years papers of AIPMT and AIIMS (subject wise) or a proper MCQ book – Universal/Ak Aggarwal for physics, Dinesh for Bio or any other. Use reference text book/ coaching notes to understand concepts. Rest is fine.

  257. hirasmita says:

    Please reply soon

    • Deepak Dwivedi says:

Sorry, but we are not counselors to help you choose your field. You choose the stream of your choice and we’ll guide you to the fullest in that path.

  258. samrat says:

bro today i checked my aiims score card- i got 1889 rank. i am general, is there any chance for me to attend 4th open counselling?

  259. saurav gurjar says:

on behalf of my friends i want to ask you that one of my friend has been able to get seat in mbbs course in govt. med college but he had a bit brain problem regarding some internal chemical problem due to which he has problem in learning the things(cramming) which has created him in some dillemma also he has well managed a good rank to get seat in renowned engg. college in India although he is undergoing med. treatment but this problem has created fear in him that he wouldn’t be able to complete his MBBS or further studies which such problem that he is loosing interest in medical field day by day. sir please suggest the right path where he should go to med field or not ? would studying MBBS would help in gaining confidence back having this med problem sir please help he is just one step away from deciding his future path??????

    • Rahul Chawla says:

Medical field is more emotionally draining and stressful than engineering. But the choice should be purely based on his interest. If he is happy in this field, then no point switching over to engineering. Psychiatric consultation is required.

  260. Kumar says:

Is there any attemp limit for AIIMS -UG Exam. What is the possibility of 479 (OBC) AIIMS Rank to get MBBS Seat this year. With Regards Thanks.

  261. Ankita says:

i desperately want to get a very gud rank in aiims 2016 but i can’t go coaching as i hv recently undergone a heart plz tell me how to do self study..i lack a lil guidance.. i’ll blindly follow ur tips. plz clear my doubts..i’ll be very grateful..
    1. How to solve universal physics? it has too many do we need to do all or just the medical ones..??
    2. plz suggest a book where i can get basics of phy n chem..
    3. how abt physics i need to solve every ncert example?
    4. i use these books for all three so is it sufficient?
    Physics- allen material, universal objective
chemistry- allen material, ncert, p. bahadur for objective
bio- ncert, class notes, dr. ali objective book

    5. should i use allen material for bio@fingertips an objective book..?
    6. lastly, plz suggest a gud book for assertion reason for all three.

    • Deepak Dwivedi says:

      1. Try finishing off the medical ones properly as you also have other subjects to do.
      2. For clearing your basics please be thorough with NCERT.
      3. Physics NCERT Is also good, but we get more benefitted for chemistry and biology.
      4. Your study package looks good, hope you follow them.
      5. Fingertips is not an objective book, its a compilation of various reference books, study material and class notes. Every line of it turns out to be a question in some or the other entrance exam.
Having that book is a must.
      6. For A/R question you can do it from GRB or MTG. Both are equally good.
And for any guidance on books or how to study, please go through the website and its blog’s, all your answer is right there.
      Good luck 🙂

  262. Kirtika says:

sir, does a 3 year dropper face problem in future after clearing aipmt ? like problems in becoming a doctor ?

    • Rahul Chawla says:

Not at professional level. These things don’t matter much. However, the person does feel lagging behind. Also you tend to settle in life at later age. But, it hardly matters, if you really want to pursue your passion.

  263. Kirtika says:

sir, does a three year dropper face problem in admission in aipmt or even becoming a doctor ?

  264. mridul says:

Sir, I am in desperate need of help!!! i feel like my life has come to an end with nowhere to go to. I am a student who swears by success and got 9.8 cgpa in 10th. Social sciences interested me a lot but i had this feeling that no matter what i opt i can do anything. But, after opting for science, my performance degraded like anything, i was failing and failing again leading me into depression. No matter how hard i try to focus and improve and get myself back on track i could not. Maths was always a problem for me, so this pre-conceptual mind of mine dreaded numericals of physics and chemistry, so bad my fear was that i was never able to learn or remember any formula. Biology was what got me going. In 12th i scored 78 percent and my whole family was shocked probably because they didn’t expect it. I was not able to clear my medical entrance o’course as even my basics were not clear. My scores were not good enough to enter any good university for general courses like DU. I did not know what to do and dropped the year ( half of the decision was my parents’) , the year passed by quickly and i felt not prepared enough and did not know what to do if not MBBS. Again i attempted the entrance exams and failed in every one of them. As i did not plan anything i have nowhere to go. I filled amity forms for biotech and du only as other universities required pre-registerations and some entrance exams which i was not knowing, in fact i did not know that i might go for biotech. Today i had my amity interview, everyone told me that that all the tests and interviews are easy and anyone can crack them so i took it lightly and was relaxed. My speaking skills are good so i was quite confident but i did not know what happened there, my voice was low, i was stopping in between too much, my answers were not clear and even the technical questions they asked were so stupidly answered. I came prepared with the 2 biotech chapters of class 12th ncert only. No biotech question was asked by them and instead some basic bio questions. Questions were so basic. One included this- ‘what are the two major systemic portals of heart? ‘ i answered aorta and its functioning and i went black and meekly said pulmonary vein after that, they laughed at me and didn’t ask anything further. I cried and cursed myself for half and hour in amity washroom but still not getting that term starting with letter ‘v’. During travelling back it came suddenly- VENA CAVA. Since afternoon i have crying and do not know what has happened to me. It was all so embarrassing and rude and the worst part is i don’t think i will be getting admitted. I have nowhere else to go to………… i am so screwed up. Please help! I have been writing so long, i desperately need someone to listen to me and help me. 😥

    • Deepak Dwivedi says:

Firstly, take a deep breath and relax. This is not the end of your life, so never let such thoughts haunt your mind. Secondly, you did a mistake by dropping aimlessly without knowing what to prepare for and where to get into. But its never late, please ask your inner self as to what you want to do and become in life rather than cursing for things.
It’s not the matter of easy or tough, it’s the matter of interest and desire. If you wish to become a doctor or an engineer or any other thing, you will surely become one if you show interest in it and strive hard towards it.
So i suggest you to wake up, plan and start working towards your goal right from this minute.
      Good luck 🙂

  265. radhika gore says:

    thank you so much sir

  266. radhika gore says:

means sir i want to ask if i take admission for bds through associate then may i give mh cet again in 2016 and is thier any problem in admission if i got mbbs seat through mh cet or mbbs?

  267. radhika gore says:

sir i got 149 marks in mh cet 2015 so i want to know
can i give aipmt or mh cet if i am a student of any degree course?

  268. Avirup Santra says:

Sir,I am from West Bengal.I had given aipmt and wbjee[m] last year.A re test of aipmt will be conducted soon.By, the way in my state I have ranked 5978 rank. So, like others ,I have also taken a challenge in any medical entrance exam without any tution.I have just bought Biology @your fingertips and saw that patience and hard work are the most valuable things that I have not done in my year of 11 and 12.Therefore, after viewing all the posts in the website, I am now asking some Questions.
1.I have taken dlp courses in Allen and Aakash.I am not a student of cbse or isc board. The books I follow for physics are Comprehenaive physics, arihant and Dinesh objective physics. But in the blog I have seen that ussr errorless physics and ratan’s guide book by a.k. Aggarwal are,are my books sufficient?.According to your suggestion, from the very first day I have studied ncert for biology and inorganic chemistry. The book I follow for chemistry are grb physical, organic, inorganic chemistry and dinesh and arihant objective books. For biology,I have bought biology@your fingertips and I am completely surprised to see the ‘OCEAN IN A SMALL VESSEL.’.and moreover,I have not decided to buy any objective book. So,for self preperation is it okay or not?

    • Deepak Dwivedi says:

Yes, what ever you have chosen is more than sufficient. Make sure that you follow and study through those books rather than just choosing them. And also for biology do the mcq’s from a good objective book of your choice apart from ncert and fingertips.

  269. hrishikesh says:

My daughter dob is 12th Jan 1999. Can she appear for aipmt 2016?

  270. sunil says:

sir c i study at home without an coaching but if i study on net can i clear state pmt tell me sir plzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

    • Deepak Dwivedi says:

The most important of all is self study and self analysis. Coaching institutes are beneficial as they provide a proper guidance and are helpful in all sorts of doubt clearing.
Giving online exams on net is good, but studying online doesn’t seem a good idea, still if your comfortable with it you can try it.

  271. Ishant kumar says:

I have heard the hospital the new aiims dont have a well functioning hospital and most of it is under construction. Last year even seats were left vacant in aiims patna and raipur because no eligible student preferred. You have ranked aiims bhopal ,rishikesh and jodhpur quite high in your rankings. Sir i want to know if it would be wise enough to choose them ?

  272. Apoorva says:

    Hello sir
i am getting bds in my state Ukhand PMT
Can i do BDs course and prepare for AIPMT side by side
Are we allowed to sit for AIPMT despite being in a college?

    • Deepak Dwivedi says:

Yes, you are eligible. Unless and until you choose a stream cracked by the same entrance. For example, once if you get an MBBS seat through AIPMT, you are not eligible to choose another MBBS seat if you write and clear the exam in upcoming years. But you can definitely choose a bds seat as it is a different stream.

  273. unknown says:

sir wat is the last rank to enter in to medical field[mbbs] in kcet?

    • Deepak Dwivedi says:

This has totally become unpredictable due to the implementation of Hyderabad-karnataka quota. The entire cut-off statistics has changed.
For previous year cut-offs you can refer KEA website.

  274. Mitali says:

    Hello sir ,
I did aakash coaching for two years in 11 th and 12 th but still wasn’t able to clear the AIPMT
I know my capabilities and i know i will be able to do it , so i am planning to drop an year for the same . So i’ed like to ask whether i should go to a coaching this year or prefer self studies?
    Thank you 🙂

    • Deepak Dwivedi says:

Coaching is any day preferable. But if you think you can do it on your own or if you have any financial constraints only then opt for self study.

  275. Rubaav says:

I had 65% in 12th in year 2014 with subjects maths, physics, chemistry , English and physical education from cbse and appeared for improvement in 2015 with same subjects. I didn’t had biology. Please suggest me a way to be eligible for aiims 2016. Can i give biology exam now? And will be eligible then?

    • Deepak Dwivedi says:

The only way out is if you do your PCB course through correspondence from NIOS or any other institutes and gain a report card with 60% aggregate marks scored in PCB. This report card is accepted for AIPMT but not sure for AIIMS exam.

  276. kabir khan says:

sir,my resident is in bihar but i have
studied class 10 to 12 from bgm school bokaro
(jharkand) cbsc board. … is it necessary for me to take the domicile of jharkhand or I can apply with my domicile of bihar

  277. disha ghosh says:

How much do i have to score to get in aiims.i am from general category.i attended 154 questions and expecting minimum 115 there any hope?atleast in one of the aiims

  278. santhiya says:

    • Deepak Dwivedi says:

AIPMT neither funds nor sponsors anybody for their studying course. It’s just a platform to achieve a govt medical seat.
For any sponsorships, you should apply for pvt sponsors for which you can google and grab the remaining information.

  279. saumya pandey says:

i need ur guidance. i dropped one year to give 2015 aipmt but i know i am nt going to qualify.
And i deserve dat completely, cause i didnot study at all. wat a fool i was but nw i have realised my mistake(‘ mistake’ to say d least). i know dat i ruined my life
coming to the point i some where know dat i can do it. i do understand d syllabus, concepts etc wid some weak points.

i was wondering if i could repeat????
but how many droppers in fact 2 year droppers qualify aipmt?
and is it possible dat i could study d whole syllabus till aiims level in one year????
    hav people done dis before???

    sry again

    • Deepak Dwivedi says:

Firstly, do not get disheartened. Glad at least you realised your mistake and repenting for it. It’s never too late, so if your ready to achieve your goal stop thinking and start working. And yes I’ve seen a many people who have cleared AIPMT after dropping for 2nd year, a handful of people are present in my college itself.
You have an entire year ahead of you and if you Start working from today, you’ll surely be able to complete the syllabus and crack the exam. But only if you sincerely work hard towards your goal, or else again you’ll land up in the same situation an year after.
      Good luck 🙂

    • Rahul Chawla says:

Your dedication is really appreciable. If you come in general category, you wont be eligible for AIPMT. Still you can give UP-CPMT. If you have any other doubt, feel free to ask 🙂

  282. Roshani Mishra says:

I am from Bihar but I have done my 12 from Delhi I want to give BCECE will they allot me examination centre in Delhi

    • Deepak Dwivedi says:

No. If you are eligible for BCECE, then your examination centre will be in Bihar only.

Really Sorry for replying so late. Hats off to your courage and determination 🙂 I hope you are doing well in studies. Your planning is fine. Keep working hard. Read past blog posts. Watch our video lecture series. If you have any further query, feel free to ask.

For students out there, read this query. You will get answers to many of your doubts. This is really INSPIRING.

  283. Sirr….i have dropped a year to sit fr med entrances evrythng is drawin so close nw, i feel i’m lagging behind my competitors.its lyk..most of d tym i sit to study i cannot concentrate on the subjct and the fear of nt cracking the exam grasps me.for phy,its endless syllabus worries me.almost every chptr has numericals to solve….sirr pllzz guide me at dis point how to strategise for AIPMT and wbjee….its a do or die situation fr parents are also worried as am i.i have dinesh objectives fr all 3 subjects…and Aakash material…i’m unable to utilise my resources to the fullest….plz help me sirr..i need to crack it dis tym

    • Deepak Dwivedi says:

At this point of time, stop studying from aakash material. It’ll become more hectic and you won’t be able to cover up all the portions. It’s good that you thought about your competitors, as this will regularly act as a booster for you to study. Try finishing all the portions max by Feb end from NCERT(mostly preferred). Do not go in depth of any topic at this point of time and unnecessarily do not indulge in an other activities and waste your time. Keep doing the numericals for all the three from Dinesh and please do not forget to solve the previous years question papers. Do not get depressed or demoralised at this stage, as this could lead you to nowhere. You still have few months in your hand, as this the time which will decide your results. So please do not waste a single second and keep working hard till the last. Good Luck!

P.S thankyou for your time and valuable advise. i bet many students do what i did. 😦

Please mention as of which CET your talking about? As far as JIPMER is concerned, the questions asked in PCB section is quite simple and the one who has done MCQ’s and previous year papers properly will score good marks in this section. The toughest part is the english section, as the questions asked are more standard and vocabulary based. The one who scores equally good in this section assures his seat because the cut off for JIPMER goes very high. Good Luck!

      • Respected sir, here I need ur help…..Sir I have passed my 12th with 90.2% marks (pcb). In 2014 .I Tried for AIPMT in 2015 but I am extremely weak in maths $ so in physics I was only able to sove one problem correctly and in chemistry 33 $ in bio 85 questions correctly(by looking at the answer code OF AIPMT held on 3rd may 2015 i am giving u these numbers of my correctly given answer.) .Sir, I dont think that next time I will be able to perform good in phy because the question of physics does not get into my mind. SIR I want to ask tht if i got very good marks in bio and chemistry i.e approx 460 but got only 8 & 16 marks in physics should i will be qualified? I will able to fulfill my dream of getting an mbbs seat? If not then I think there is no meaning of studying for cracking medical entrance exam which is my dream. I should try for something else? What wii U suggest sir? eagerly waiting for ur reply …SIR PLZ HELP ME. I AM VERY CONFUSED PLEASE CLEAR MY DOUBTS SOON. I AM REALLY SORRY FOR THE BIG QUESTION..

      • Unfortunately, the answer is no. You need to work hard in physics. And when you start solving the ques, you’ll easily get hold of them. Best off luck. 😀

plzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz help me as soon as possible ……..i will really be grateful

    • shushant shandilya says:

Do it stepwise. Like first start with the theory. For that you will need well descriptive notes such as aakash package. Read and try to understand every concept and the solved examples based on every topic. Dont panic to start solving questions. Once you get through the concept then start doing mcqs

I was wondering about the scholarship programs offered by Manipal university. They have told that all rankers below the rank of 100 get 100% freeship. but when the list fo the number of freeships came out in 2012, there were only 8 students from KMC Manipal and 10 Students from KMC mangalore. What is this about? Is there any other criteria that one should match to get the freeship? Help would be duly appreciated.

    Hello Sir,

My son is appearing for STD X ICSE boards in March 2015, he is a Medical Aspirant and we are considering to put him in Aakash Institute – MUMBAI. but what some other people said is that Aakash is very good with AIPMT but not so good with MHT-CET. My question is that is the syllabus so different for AIPMT and MHT-CET and cant the student who is prepared for AIPMT solve MHT-CET. Would it be too difficult to solve MH-CET ??

    • Deepak Dwivedi says:

I think you’ve got some kind of wrong information. You are eligible to write the exam and choose MBBS if you get a seat.

  304. nitikagarg says:

    respected sir
I m studying in class12th and want to know that besides AIPMT
how many state pmtI can give

    • Deepak Dwivedi says:

The state where you are studying or have studied more than 6 to 7 years and also the state who’s domicile(permanent resident) you have. Sometimes, both the states can be same. For ex: If you are a Permanent resident of Uttar Pradesh(having its domicile) and you have studied in the same state, then in that case you are eligible to write only that states entrance exam.

  305. sumit bainsla says:

Sir i want know about how much percentage recquired in pcb 12th standard to give pmt exam 2015

    • Deepak Dwivedi says:

Minimum of 60 percent aggregate in PCB(not individually), to be eligible for all the nation wide entrance exam.

      • MEHAK says:

      • shushant shandilya says:

Any student can crack aipmt. Just you need hard work and proper direction for studies

      • Deepak Dwivedi says:

Yes, definitely you can. If a person like me, below average student, can pursue medicine, then anyone can. But remember, Only if they wish to.

  306. Priya Singh says:

    Rahul Sir
I am studying biology from ncert and your Both the books.
    But my chem. IS weak
I want to ask is Ncert for chemistry enough for aipmt???

    • Deepak Dwivedi says:

NCERT will build your concepts well, but you have to get exposed to all types of questions asked in various exams. So start doing n number of MCQ’s from any publication of your choice.
Organic chemistry is vast, so you might have to refer few other books also to cover up all the concepts. Glance through few reference books, and go ahead with the book which your more comfortable with.

  307. shubh verma says:

can i appear in any mbbs entrance exam my age is 16 years

  308. Gauri Guhe says:

SIR, I am a dropper and i am preparing for AIPMT 2015 from these books can u please suggest me that is this correct or not i should continue with these books
BIOLOGY: mtg NCERT biology@fingertips,ncert txt book + Allen notes
    CHEMISTRY: Allen modules+Ncert txt book+ mtg chemistry@fingertips
Physics: ALLen + NCERT txt book+DC pandey
Sir plz rply urgently bcz i hv very less time.

    • Deepak Dwivedi says:

looks good. But are you seriously following it? That is what really matters. You can keep DC Pandey as optional, as physics section is not that tough in medical entrances. Use it only when required. Along with allen modules, try practicing more and more MCQ’s and please do not forget to do previous year papers at any cost. Good luck 🙂

  309. shreya singh says:

sir, my d.o.b. is 14 march 1998. will i be qualifies to sit any exam of medical?

  310. Sir m 16 yrs old bt the eligibility for pmt entrance is 17
though m going to turn 17 in feb 2015 bt there’s written over in the form that ur age must be 17 upto 31st of december 2014
so is there any possibility to give the exam in 2015 or i have to drop the year????

  311. sakshi says:

    hello mentor,
i have completed my 12th in 2014 with 92% and will be appearing in medical exams of 2015. there are regular tests being conducted in my coaching every month in which i only manage to score only in 300s,which make me depress a lot ,i dont get were i am lacking or how else i can improve i study hard..cause coming in medical field is my dream..but these score even after trying hard a like this..i makes really really sad.please suggest me ways how can improve myself or what can i do more to improve.

    • Deepak Dwivedi says:

Firstly do not get disheartened by your test scores. Always keep in mind that, there are lakhs of people who are dreaming to get into medicine, but all do not get it. Only the one who’s determined, working hard and putting in a lot of effort and practice achieves it. Try spending a few hours extra with your books, analyze your mistakes and work upon them.
Take the help of your teachers, refer your notes. Studying Hard, without knowing what to study is useless. Smart study is equally important and cracking entrances requires skills. Hope you know to manage your time well. Try not referring any hi-fi books, just try to get your basics clear and do as much as question solving possible from previous year papers and coaching institute modules.
Try to stay away from distraction at home or at coaching center. Moreover, do not get depressed and waste your time crying over spilt milk.
Consistently keep working hard and practicing, surely you’ll see a change in your performance.
      Good luck 🙂

I scored 313 in bio but phy, chem is very weak comparatively. Now resorting to self study I am solving dc pandey n resnick halliday(theory) for phy(coz my concepts were very weak).for chem I follow pradeep n ncert(inorganic n organic).I want to get under 100 rank in aipmt n selection in aiims delhi.
Is this d right approach.? I have barely 6 months to manage time? What else is missing for my target?
Sir plz guide me thoroughly coz my life is at stake.

First of all…don’t panic and don’t think of rank….just do as much as u can and give ur best….

First identify ur weak topics and work on them….
Try to finish ur syllabus by January last by which u will get enough tym to revise…

First of all….do objective and assertion reason ques practice in all three subject as much as u can….with out ques u r nothing

In phy….don’t waste much tym in reading those hi fi books…
Just read theory only once from ncert and ur previous year coaching notes…..thn solve ques as much as u can

  315. Saurabh says:

  317. Radhika says:

earlier i posted my problem and becoz of deepak sir motivation i have started my pmt prep seriously and with full dedication ,giving 10-12 hrs daily and decided to manage bsc also. but when my rpmt re results came and i was unable to crack it my parents loosed all hopes and forcing me to join pvt pharmacy college in our city and its fees is also 60,000pa and also it is not so good earlier also i mentioned my situation during last year. but this time i am confident but not my parents.i don’t know how to manage both the streams becoz i don’t think that they going to listen me. but still if you think i should not join it then atleast i can try to convence him. please tell me sir that is 2 year dropper selection is possible and common. this was 1st attemp as with my 12 my father not allowed me to give pmt as he wanted me to concentrate on boards. sir please tell me what to do? i am not able to decide ?whether to do bsc +pmt? or pharmacy+pmt? as in bsc i can manage to go 1-2times a week but not in pharmacy. please help me sir its really really urgent becoz last date for pharmacy is closer. please your guidence matters me a lot becoz last year also there were no one to guide me and to encourage me…….

    • rahullmishra says:

As per your question details, it’s apparent that you have managed with bsc +pmt and you are uncomfortable switching to Pharmacy+pmt. So, you should avoid the latter option as you never have enough time to spend on such switch-over during entrance exam preparation. And no. of dropped years really doesn’t matter once you clear the entrance..and yes, 2yrs of drop is a common thing for PMT..if you are really aimed to crack it .But the difficulty lies in time-and subject management for the droppers. Manage the available time skillfully, avoiding your past mistakes and solving max no. of mcqs, you will clear it, consequently.

    • Deepak Dwivedi says:

If your getting a good pvt college, you can anyday prefer it. And your daughter dropping another year does not assure her of getting a govt seat next year. It all depends upon hardwork and consistency. For details about good pvt colleges please let us know the state to which u belong, and states with which your comfortable for your daughter’s study.

but sir please also tell me that how can i put my hard work in a right direction………
i am preparing chem from o.p tandon+ncert + dinesh objective and phy from pradeep and uss{universal} andbio from ncert and mtg objective and also rahul sir books……….. [and all last year’s papers] will all these be sufficient . and please also tell me that how much hours should i study with full concentration…………
my main problem is that as the time passes i start loosing confidence in myself. i starts well but at the end i loose hope. there is always a fear in me that 11 and 12 i have studied from competitive view and this one year may not change anything how much i work had……………..

      • Deepak Dwivedi says:

Yes, it’ll be sufficient. around 4-5 hours with full concentration would be a good one.
please try not losing self-confidence, because if you get demoralised then you’ll be the loser.
Be positive, at the moment you have sufficient amount of time for your preparation, so dont waste a single day.

Coaching institutes are meant for proper guidance and regular studies. You should be more focused on self studies and should not be much reliable on coaching institutes.
Remember coaching institutes don’t create miracles, it is the miracle within you.
      Good Luck 🙂

I am a resident of Uttar Pradesh and hoping to pursue mbbs form Karnataka .
Have a doubt about future PG courses . I checked some brochures for PG in UP and Karnataka . it was wierd that i cant apply from UP nor from Karnataka if I complete my mbbs from Karnataka.
cOZ to be eligible for PG in UP , you should have done MBBS from UP colleges and to be eligible for PG in Karnataka , you should have a domicile of Karnataka ,it does not matters from where you did your MBBS . It makes me ineligible for both Karnataka and my home state Uttar Pradesh.
What do i do ? help me out please if anyone knows anything about it.
I really wanna know about the eligibility criteria for these states .

Sorry for late reply…First of all, you have to decide what kind of career you want..BSc is not a bad can go for NET, or even MBA or Civil services..As you are already enrolled for a graduate program with a hectic schedule, I think trying again for PMT at this stage would be really difficult..And then even if you clear PMT and get a seat, life here is again not so easy…5.5 years course and then PG entrances…So, decide for yourself..if you really want to be a doctor, then you can give another attempt, but this time with dedication and hardwork..otherwise, you still have other good options available for you..

    Hello respected mentor
I have a query that after the boards finish
What level of prep can be done in those nearly 40 days
Example can one solve 150 kinda questions of physics objective book in a dayy.???
Nd only ncert nd fingertips for bio at that time.? Thanx

    • Deepak Dwivedi says:

Its the number of questions which u solve, its how much knowledge u gain out of it.
Yes, NCERT and Fingertips would really be very helpful. Please dont forget to do previous year papers.

i hv joined aakash two year regular program
but my performance is not gud
i always forget what i revise nd learn

    • Deepak Dwivedi says:

Forgetting things is very common. Try studying more of concept oriented, rather than mugging up the subject. This will help in long term memory.
Practice everyday and keep giving revision at regular intervals, this will keep up your confidence. try coping up with the coaching classes and simultaneously focus on your self study. And please do not get disheartened if you tend forget things or perform bad. Just keep consistency in your studies and surely you’ll do well… 🙂

which all exams’ past papers do we need to solve ???/
i am dropper and i hv to give exam this year

      • Deepak Dwivedi says:

It depends on which all exams your attempting. But honestly speaking, try solving various exam papers(irrespective of whether your writing it or not) because sometimes the questions from one exam tallies with the other, even without changing the options. But lay more emphasis and do not miss out the previous years papers of the exams which your going to write.

      • snehapande338 says:

what should be our strategy during revisions ?

      • Deepak Dwivedi says:

Consistent practice everyday. Do not waste time in studying hours of chapters everyday.
Refer the text only if you face some problem with any topic.
Stay away from social media sites, unnecessary gossips and from every distractions possible and do not waste time thinking unwanted things.
These few months sacrifice everything, and devote yourself fully to studies.
Try finishing as much as question papers as possible.
There may be many things that u may feel is left for u to study, so pls do not go in depth of it just give a glance to it.
Just keep your basics strong, and solve 100’s of questions everyday in all the three.
Never lose confidence at any point of time, and keep working hard till the last second.
        Best of Luck 🙂

      • snehapande338 says:

sir you answered to my question given below
what should be our strategy during revisions ?
but in the answer you said just to keep basics strong . how do i know that if my basics are strong or how do i make them strong ?
sir i gave allen tests in which of all the topic tests the range of my percentage was 32 % to 60 %. does the % show any sign of selection ?
now in march i have full tests.

      • Deepak Dwivedi says:

Self analysis. Take a previous year paper and try solving it. If your concepts are clear and basics are good you would be able to solve more than 60-70% ques.
If not, you’ll have to identify your weak areas, study them and practice over it. But do not apply this for every topic, only for the most imp ones and frequently asked questions.
At this point, just give yourself a quick reading of the past years. Do not read any new topic. Try to cram all the formulas in physics, named reactions in chem and fingertips in biology.
The Allen test series are relatively tougher than the actual PMT’s. So do not get depressed by your percentile, and neither this percentile guarantee’s your selection.

hello sir i m dropper student… ryt nw i m having problem in ORGANIC chem .. i dnt knw how to prepare it… i dnt have P bahadur… i think buy this book is not gonna help me… sooo plzz help me.. how to study organic and from where… ??? plzzz help

    • Deepak Dwivedi says:

please do not go in the depth of the subject now… Try learning all the named reactions.
Trust me, with help of basic knowledge and few concepts you would be able to answer many questions.
Start doing quick revision, solve more and more MCQ’s. If you get stuck at some place, rather than wasting time on it, switch to some other question.
Remember this is not the time to study, but the time to revise.
Please don’t miss out the NCERT, if your thorough with it, more than half of the job is done.
Have confidence in yourself, don’t be demoralized at this point of time and keep working hard till the last second…
      Best of Luck 🙂

        hi sir myself hitesh.
i got admission in the medical college last year..
but due to continuous ailment for 2-3 months i lagged behind and not able to cop up with huge i have decided to give pmt again.. should i go to college now? or just prepare for pmt at home

      • Deepak Dwivedi says:

Please do not think of giving PMT again. You have a reason for yourself, and so u can produce a medical certificate in front of the college. And all you’ve left to do is work hard to clear your university.
I know the syllabus is very vast in 1st year, but still you have a chance with you. So do not miss it.
Please resume your college as soon as possible and start preparing for your exams, without even giving a second thought.

  352. yash says:

if one wants to get a very good rank in aipmt,
by which month he should finish his syllabus???????????????

    • Deepak Dwivedi says:

It varies from person to person.
But pls do not waste your time in thinking all these things, and start your revision….
      Best Of Luck… 🙂

    • Deepak Dwivedi says:

As the name says “GENERAL” Knowledge, so it can be asked from any where… 🙂

      • shiva says:

is there a lab record in mbbs?

      • Deepak Dwivedi says:

        Yes, for Biochemistry and Physiology.

      • aiims aspirant says:

can you suggest any book ?

      • Deepak Dwivedi says:

there is no time to study chapters now. So just keep NCERT on your fingertips and start solving papers.
For physics you can use Dinesh objective.
For Chemistry GRB Objectives(especially for Inorganic).
For Biology- Dinesh or Arihant will do.
If u have fingertips with u, pls try to cram the entire book it will be of tremendous help.
        Best of luck 🙂

      kindly help

      • Deepak Dwivedi says:

People who clear the National wide exams like AIPMT or AIIMS, have solely dedicated their 2 years, or more, and have put in a lot of hardwork.
Honestly speaking the answer would be a NO, because you know where your standing in your preparations.
But you can always give a try, due to the luck factor&#
