Sir,
Is nios valid in vmmc, delhi and other prestigious college of delhi.
And sir we don’t get character certificate or school certificate in nios board, so it can cause problem during counselling… What should i do?

My hometown is chandigarh…and now i am confused whether i should choose gmch chd or any of the aiims( except delhi since i cannot gt it)..
Is it a good idea to take any of the aiims over gmch ? And if yess then which aiims?

Go for Chandigarh. It’s an established college..moreover, your home town.

GMC Chandigarh is a good college, moreover your home town. So you may prefer it over any of the ‘new’ AIIMS.

Sir, My hometown is in SILCHAR..(ASSAM)….this year through assam state pmt i can get a seat both in Silchar Medical college as well as Gauhati medical college.
obviously GMCH is on a better demand than SMCH and its evident from ranks every year.
but as my hometown is in Silchar and also i have many of my school seniors and my friends studying in SMCH…also i can stay at my home etc….
The degree is awarded by the same UNIVERSITY in all 6 medical colleges in ASSAM.

If you feel that there is no drastic difference between the two colleges, then you can prefer your home town as it’s favouring you more benefits than the guwahati medical college.

no, taking admission in VMMC, violates the rule of DU. thereby u won’t be eligible for DU quota

for girls, LH is preferable though UC is slightly better academically. Location wise UC isn’t good..dilshad garden..LH is centrally located and accessible..but its hostel infrastructure is very poor..VMMC has got internal PG advantage and is gradually improving academically.Its hostel is quite good.. Even if its PG seats don’t remain in future, you’ll still have Delhi State Quota PG seats then..you have nothing to lose in VMMC. Over all all the three colleges are good..depends on your own priorities.

very few people prepare for US MLE..there’s nothing like international acclaim in US MLE but if in past many seniors have gone abroad, then the linking does help..ours is a new college and so only few have been able to clear US MLE..if you are really sure about preparing for it, then you can take UC..

Internal PG means that in Safdarjung hospital (associated with VMMC), RML Hospital and ESI Hospital..out of say..200 seats, 50% i.e. 100 seats would be reserved for the students of VMMC (and ACMS) which are filled through separate exam of IPU university and the rest through Al India PG. Benefit is that here you would be competing against 200 students for 100 seats (actually even more)…on the other hand if you take LHMC, you would be eligible for Delhi PG..for seats in MAMC, LHMC and UCMS..here the seats are limited and the competition is tough.
According to your rank, you may get subsidized seat in VMMC where the fees is around 32000 p.a.; but if you are unable to get the subsidized seat through IPU..I don’t think you should take the non-subsidized seat because here you will have to pay Rs. 1,32000 p.a. compared to only 4500 p.a. in LHMC. Now, if you are getting LHMC take it..wait for the second counseling..you may get VMMC in the second counseling ( in case you are getting through AIPMT, not through DPMT)
