Pursuant to the Notification published in the Gazette of India Extraordinary dated 21st December, 2010, the Medical Council of India with the approval of the Central Government amended the regulations on Graduate Medical Education 1997 and made provision for a Single Eligibility cum Entrance Examination, namely, National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) for admission to MBBS Course in each academic year.
The Dental Council of India also amended the BDS Course Regulations 2007 and notified in the Gazette of India Extraordinary dated 31st May, 2012 that admission to BDS Course in each academic year shall be through National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET).
The Medical Council of India and Dental Council of India have notified that the Central Board of Secondary Education shall be the organization to conduct the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for admission to MBBS and BDS Courses.
Accordingly, the Central Board of Secondary Education will conduct the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for admission to MBBS and BDS Courses in the academic session 2013-14 on Sunday, the 5th May 2013.
The responsibility of the CBSE is limited to the conduct of the entrance examination, declaration of result and providing merit list to the Counselling Authorities.

plz reply, any of the sir /ma’am plz its imp. though i got my plans n m working acc. to it for the prepration , but still the main help would be , if sir/ma’am you tell me how to manage time as i told the whole problem in last post, i stil hope i can get selected in round one of science olympiad as i did bio n phy. but chem. was left n time was up., and i again dont want to be in such doubt that i can get selected in neet or not as this time i know i need help in time management in thew paper, though i got tips of chawla sir , but again i m very weak in chem.,n boards r on head so how to manage the board n competitive,
i know this one single help will make a huge huge difference, plz help because i m trying to keep myself calm n keep working on the plans but now tension is overshadowing it…

Sir;
can u please help in how to manage the time in examination hall ,as in neet its 180 ques. and 180 minutes, i gave science olympiad and we got 50 ques. to be done in 60 minutes and i wasn’t able to manage time properly for each section, so i really want to know time management and paper handling, i have biology@your fingertips ;but still need to know how to manage 180 ques. over the time of 180 minutes, also kindly help in how 2 manage time of these 3-4 months for competitions and board as well, i m in 12th , and weak in chemistry oraganic, physics and bio are not a problem, plz plz help , ur advice is very very imp.

Sub : Candidates opting NEET -2013 examination in their respective Regional Language i.e. Bengali , Assamese, Gujarati, Marathi, Tamil and Telugu, will be in-eligible for 15 % All India Quota seats and in AFMC from this year onward.
Respected madam,
With due respect, I want to draw your kind attention to the following regards:
For admitting students in MBBS and BDS courses NEET – UG will be held by the Central Board of Secondary Education at per notice released on 1.12.2012.
1. In Information bulletin for NEET (UG) -2013 [clause – 5(ii), page – 2] by Central Board of Secondary Education in their website http://www.cbseneet.nic.in, it is written as –
” Candidates who have passed/appearing their class XII or equivalent qualifying examination from the State Boards of Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu and West Bengal and seeking admission in the institutions located in the State concerned under State Quota seats only can opt for Question Paper in their respective Regional Language i.e. Telugu, Assamese, Gujarati, Marathi, Tamil and Bengali. ”
This implies that candidates who will opt question paper for their regional language, will not be eligible for getting admission in the 15 % All India Quota seats (approx 2500 seats). To get admission in 15 % All India Quota seats along with 85 % State Quota seats, students have to choose either Hindi or English language only. NEET examinees with regional language can’t enjoy this facility, for them only the 85 % State Quota seats will remain open.
The students of all States of India are enjoying the facility of this 15 % All India Quota seats for last 23 years since 1989 as per order of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India. MCI / CBSE has no right to rewrite / violet that order of Supreme Court of India.
2. In the Information bulletin for NEET ( UG) -2013 it is also written that if there occur any mistake/ambiguity in translation of question paper from English to regional languages, the concern Board will not be responsible. English version shall be treated as final. Examinees will have to read question paper simultaneously in two versions i.e. in regional language and also in English within schedule time of examination. [In clause 5(i), page – 2, Information bulletin]
It is very difficult to a student who had never read the science subject earlier in English. It is not possible to go through the question paper in two different languages within same 3 hours duration. Is it not a punishment to them for opting regional language ?
3. The Chairman of West Bengal Joint Entrance Board, Mr. Bhaskar Gupta expressed his suspicion earlier in this regard that the Central Board has no appropriate machinery to conduct NEET in regional languages and also setting centre of examination in district and sub-divisional level.
4. Medical Council of India has already been prepared a Core Syllabus for NEET – 2013 where a vast syllabus is proposed on Human Physiology including brief account of various diseases on different system of human body keeping an eye in follow-on Medical Curriculum. But in Information Bulletin for NEET (UG) -2013, it is said that Biology examination will be held on Botany-Zoology Syllabus only. Human physiology part is not included. (In clause 5(i), page – 2, Information bulletin)
5. Candidates opting for Question Paper in Regional languages should have to choose Centre Cities within the geographical limit of the State concerned. English/Hindi version students can choose any centre as per their best among all total 85 examination centers for NEET throughout India. There exists no centre choice for regional language-opting students. Is it not a discrimination on the basis of language ?
6. If the right to appear in All India Quota seats through NEET is seized illegally due to choosing regional language as medium of examination, in near future no one read their science subjects in regional languages. Many of 10 + 2 schools of State Board will be closed down due to lack of students.
7. In the NEET – UG, each state has reserved quota of 85% . For this, any sort of dispute pertaining to the conduct of NEET – UG and allotment of seat must fall within the Jurisdiction of the respective State High Courts, instead of National Capital –New Delhi (High Court) only. (In clause 17.3, page – 16, Information bulletin)
8. In National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) – Undergraduate Medical Entrance there is a common syllabus, single exam, one result. Medical Council of India (MCI) has agreed to reserve 85% seats as State Quota . This goes against efficiency and real talents – violating constitutional rights.
In West Bengal, Tamil Nadu and some other states there were District-wise reservation in middle of sixty’s for admission to a medical college which was struck down by Supreme Court on the ground that the object of the selection of candidates for the admission is to select the best possible talent from the entire state, having regards to efficiency required for medical profession. It is against Article 14 of Indian Constitution. Observation of Supreme Court are same for about two dozen of same type cases up to 2011.

N. Bhagwati A. P. Sen Ranganath Misra DATE OF JUDGMENT – 22.06.1984 )
So State-wise reservation of 85% NEET – UG medical seats for admission in a medical college through NEET is against Article 14 of the Constitution of India..
When there will be no state-wise reservation, in educationally backward states majority of seats in medical will be filled up by the brilliant students of other states. Provincialism will create a new problem – all over the country. There will be a problem of law and order.
9. The concept that exam burden for several medical entrances will be relieved through NEET, is not true. AIIMS, BHU, JNMC, CMC, VELLORE , MANIPAL, JIPMER (Pondicherry) & private medical colleges etc. are out of NEET-UG.
Hope, you will take an early action for overall clarifications of the salient points mentioned to avoid confusions among the students of State and guardians and teachers and associated people of the country, so that the constitutional rights of the students studying in regional languages may be restored.
